A crossword clue as a small writing exercise
Цитата з Clare Chambers від 28.09.2026, 05:19A name from a crossword can be a starting point for a scene. Choose a character who knows the answer and another who does not, then let them disagree about why the name matters. I would leave the explanation out of the first draft and see whether the conversation still makes sense.
I am sharing the Bible crossword from Bible4Soul for anyone writing with biblical references. It is a word game, so it cannot replace reading the passage behind a reference. The writing exercise can stay small: one clue, a conversation, and no need to finish a whole story.
Would you keep the reference obvious, or leave it for the reader to notice?
